Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather in my neck of the woods: High 30s & Sunny

Things that make me happy: Our church

Book I'm reading: "Why the Nativity" by David Jeremiah {I highly recommend this book during the most wonderful time of the year!}

What's on TV today: Christmas music

On the menu for dinner: Baked chicken & squash melody

On my To Do list:
1. Laundry
2. Grocery store
3. Meet w/ couponing friends to discuss our FREE couponing session on December 20th!!!
4. Tidy up my house--somehow it got away from me this weekend

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon: Last week I made new recipes every single night! All were delicious:
Cream of Zucchini soup
Beef & butternut squash stew
Penne w/ butternut squash
Salmon cakes
This week I am going to try Baked Ham & cheese sliders from Sandra over at http://familycorner.blogspot.com/. Looks like the Perfect Saturday lunch to me!

Looking forward to this week: Out of town guests coming Wednesday- Thursday!

Tips & Tricks: Plan your weekly dinners! This has helped me so much. Every Monday I make my weekly menu- buy all the necessary ingredients and write it on our white message board. Every day I know whats for dinner and how much time I'll need to devote come dinner time!

No Words Needed:

On my mind: My insanely busy week!

In the craft basket (B/c I don't do crafts- This question will usually be involving food): I don't know that I'll have time for much this week. But I really want to try and get some Christmas cookie dough made and into the freezer. This way in a few weeks I'll have the dough prepared and I can just bake, bake, bake :)

Devotionals, versus etc.: "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel" -Isaiah 7:14
